Adult Education Associations
Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband (DVV) is the German association of communal adult education centres. One thousand Volkshochschulen all over Germany offer a great variety of courses dealing with everything from access (computing) to yoga. Of course, almost half of what is on offer comes from the department of languages. All in all, you can learn almost 40 languages at Volkshochschulen in Germany, the most popular ones being German as a Foreign Language, English and Spanish. The expertise of Volkshochschulen is further structured in 16 regional associations (Landesverbände) under the umbrella of Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband. DVV was one of the organisations which founded ICC.
