Building European passport for transparent and international certification (1/10/2004- 30/09/2006)

This project aims at creating purpose-made tools making access to European Union documents easier and helping to implement the use of these documents. In particular, it aims at exercising an active role in the process of the setting up of the indispensable tools to verify on the job the usefulness of the Certificate Supplement present in the new EUROPASS.
One of the main obstacles for those wishing to work or attend a school/training institution in another European country or moving from one sector to another of the job market lies in the difficulty in having their own qualifications and competences accepted. This situation is worsened by the proliferation of qualifications, the differences in national qualification systems and in educational and vocational structures, besides the changes made in such systems.
The project aims to contribute to overcome this obstacle, to improve the applicability of the tools for transparency to be tested on the field and allow citizens to face the challenges of a society based on knowledge through the promotion of the development of their own knowledge and skills in every phase of their lives.
