The college also provides an extensive range of tailored courses for the local business community. During 2005-06 over 12,000 learners enrolled on Lancashire College courses.  The quality of our provision was recognised in 2004 when the college was inspected by the Adult Learning Inspectorate; the adult education service was judged to be the best provider of its kind in the country.

About our Language Training Services

Lancashire College has over 30 years experience of designing and delivering courses in English language and British culture for groups of adult students.  We have a team of specialist tutors who will ensure that your course programme meets your specific requirements, whether they are business or general English.  We have hosted many trainees from other countries at Lancashire College, either in groups or on a one-to-one basis.  Their objectives were to improve their English language skills and fully immerse themselves in British culture.  Levels range from those just starting to learn the language to those already fluent but wishing to understand some of the cultural differences.  Our EFL team is very experienced at delivering business and general English courses and this, together with our residential and catering provision, means all trainees’ requirements can be met on-site.
