CEDEFOP, the European Training Village (ETV)
CEDEFOP, the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, uses the latest available technology to bring professionals the most up to date information in the field of vocational education and training in Europe.
The European training village (ETV) newsletter is an awareness service distributed monthly by Cedefop featuring information on vocational training issues at European level: latest Community legislation and policy, calls for proposals, e-documents, web sites, news, forthcoming events, what's new at ETV and recent Cedefop publications. It has been prepared by the Library and documentation service in collaboration with the ETV.

The National Centre for Languages, CILT
The National Centre for Languages was formed in 2003 through the merger of the Centre for Information on Language Teaching and Research and the Languages National Training Organisation. The creation of the new organisation was announced as part of the Government’s National Languages Strategy. It plays a key role in managing national initiatives in support of language capability and the implementation of the National Strategy as well as offering a wide range of services for teachers, learners, researchers, users and providers of language services and the business community.
CILT is based in London but operates throughout the United Kingdom, in partnership with its sister organisations CILT Cymru, Northern Ireland CILT and Scottish CILT. It pursues its objectives via a series of collaborative networks

Council of Europe
The Council of Europe is an intergovernmental organisation which aims to protect human rights, pluralist democracy and the rule of law; to promote awareness and encourage the development of Europe’s cultural identity and diversity ; to seek solutions to problems facing European society (discrimination against minorities, xenophobia, intolerance, environmental protection, human cloning, Aids, drugs, organised crime, etc.); to help consolidate democratic stability in Europe by backing political, legislative and constitutional reform.

European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA, Brussels)
EAEA is a transnational, non-profit association whose purpose is to link and represent European organisations which are directly involved in adult learning. Its primary focus is NGOs whose principal aim is the education of adults, and it works where possible through national co-ordinating bodies for adult learning. Originally known as the European Bureau of Adult Education, it was founded in 1953 by representatives from a number of European countries.
Today the association is made up of some 100 organisations in 34 countries - from Cyprus to the Nordic countries, and from Iceland to Russia.

The European Language Certificates (telc)
The European Language Certificates are language examinations at four levels of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework. The examinations are run by the Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH, based in Frankfurt, Germany.
