Language – a Key Competence for Europe
A Conference on Teaching Learning Languages
The European Union has identified eight "key competencies" for lifelong learning. The conference focused on those key competencies that are related to language teaching, language learning, and intercultural communication.
The aim of the conference was to show how language learning and teaching can contribute to the fulfilment of the key competencies in adult education, in the school system and in universities.
