Another highlight of the Italian for Beginners Course was a presentation by Luisa Panichi from the University of Pisa, who introduced the participants to Kamimo Island in Second Life and the activities of the AVALON project the ICC is also partner in.

Luisa's presentation resulted in post course activities in Second Life where the Italian for Beginners Course Participants who were all unfamiliar with Second Life, learned to create their avatar, move around in the virtual 3D world, visit virtual places in Italy chatting Italian to inhabitants while practicing their Italian language skills with Luisa.
